Executive director Ellie Beedham
is a founder member of Stan Won't Dance
She wants to develop a process that radically integrates dance and theatre in a way not seen before. In January 2006, she worked on Choreolab at DanceXchange and the Residency at The Lowry to develop REVELATIONS.
Projects that Ellie has produced include two UK tours and a US/Canadian tour of SINNER (which was nominated for a Tapa Dora Award), Jerwood Stairworks 2001, and Friday is Faraday (award-winning Heritage Festival 2000). She worked with DV8 Physical Theatre on their Sydney Olympics Arts Festivals commission, The Cost of Living.
She has also worked with Transitions Dance Company, Southwark Arts Forum (1994-2003), Islington International Festival (1994-5), Horniman Museum, Dulwich Picture Gallery (1991-3) and the Laban Centre in London (Head of Communications 2003-6). She was also Head of Marketing and Sales at the Lyric Hammersmith, and part of the team that revitalised the theatre.
Ellie is currently Head of Arts for the Creative Foundation (), working on the Folkstone Literary Festival, FAB theatre and the Sculpture Triennale.
She is also Advisor to the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund and member
of the Board of Directors of both Kaos Theatre Company
and Deptford X Arts Festival.
