SKYLON SPIRITS
Aerial performances
Skylon was a dramatic 300ft sliver of suspended steel which came to symbolise the soaring, optimistic spirit of a post-war nation. Southbank resident artists Stan Won't Dance recaptured its bold statement of confidence and belief through a series of soaring aerial duets on Royal Festival Hall's riverside light masts.
Stan Won't Dance's 10-minute performances of SKYLON SPIRITS
were part of a weekend of free events that ran throughout the day, celebrating the newly restored Festival Hall.
